Now hiring a Production Manager

Prism Kombucha is currently seeking a Production Manager to join our passionate team. The Production Manager reports to the General Manager and acts as the brewmaster & lead packager. They are responsible for the production of a healthy, delicious and high quality kombucha.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute all aspects of production operations, from planning to brewing to packaging;

  • Inspect, clean and operate brewing and packaging equipment including kettle, pumps, hoses, fermenters, chillers, filters, canning line and more;

  • Manage ingredient and material sourcing and inventory;

  • Plan and manage production schedule to meet production goals;

  • Maintain accurate and detailed production records;

  • Measure, document and adjust fermentation procedures to ensure all products meet our strict quality standards;

  • Develop new flavours and beverages;

  • Perform thorough cleaning, sanitation and housekeeping duties with adherence to operating procedures set forth in training;

  • Perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment;

Key competencies and qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a food or beverage production environment;

  • Strong understanding of the science of fermentation and brewing. Ideal candidate will have some brewing or fermentation experience;

  • Some post-secondary education or experience in science related field is an asset;

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;

  • Innovative: eager to learn, grow and drive change and creativity;

  • Bilingual (english/french) is an asset;

  • Above all else, we are looking for an energetic, self-motivated and a passionate employee;


  • Class 5 drivers license (vehicle not required);

The selected applicant will be required to complete the following certifications during working hours, if not already completed:

  • Food handler certificate;

  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) certification;

Prism Kombucha will also provide additional training on operating procedures, forms & policies. All training will be completed during working hours.

Employment details:

This is a full-time permanent position with a 1 month probation period. Remuneration to be negotiated with the selected candidate. Expected salary range of $15-$22/hour, depending on experience.
