Prism Kombucha is a local small business founded in 2017. Our kombucha is made in small batches using organic teas and Canadian wild-foraged ingredients to make a healthy, unique and great-tasting beverage. We’re looking for part time Packaging technicians that will help us meet & exceed quality standards and customer expectations.
Part time (15-30h/week) positions starting as soon as possible (start date negotiable).
Packaging to be performed at Fort Whyte Farms, 1961 McCreary rd, Winnipeg. Employees will be required to provide their own transportation to and from work. No public transportation available to that site.
Duties and responsibilities
Assist in packaging of different flavours of kombucha in cans and kegs;
Perform cleaning and sanitation practices with adherence to operating procedures set forth in training;
Inspect all packaged product to ensure conformance with quality assurance procedures;
Qualifications and requirements
Valid class 5 drivers license and personal vehicle;
Candidate should be able to repeatedly lift up to 30 lbs and work standing up for extended durations of time;
Experience in brewing, fermentation or food & beverage operations is an asset;
Background or interest in science (biology) is an asset;
Bilingualism (English & French) is an asset.
Training and certification
If not already completed, the selected applicant will be required to complete the following online training courses during their work hours:
Food Handler’s Certification;
Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS);
Prism Kombucha will also provide additional training on operating procedures. All training will be completed during working hours.
